Irish Short Course Championships (Lisburn)
Congratulations to Lucy Gaynor who came 6th in the 400IM at the Irish Short Course Champs in Lisburn at the weekend. She improved her PB by 4 secs to get to the final and went an additional 2.5 secs faster in the final, finishing in 5.24.5. Well done Lucy!

Minor Schools Swimming Championship (Galway)

4 Glenalbyn swimmers had some great success at these championships in Galway the weekend of December 10th/11th.  They are:

Aoife Kelly (Torpedoes) who was 2nd Reserve for the 50 BC Final

Anna Foster (Torpedoes) who was 3rd in the 50 FC

Eabha O'Donnell (Torpedoes) who was 4th in the 50 BRS

These 3 swimmers along with Elisabeth Dunne (Minnows) went on to win the under 10 Medley and Freestyle relays.

Congratulations to Lucy Gaynor who was awarded 'Young Long Distance Swimmer of the Year' by the Irish Long Distance Swimming Association at a ceremony in Dublin on 13th November.
